# Candidate Consent

In order to be GDPR compliant, any candidate whose information is stored or used throughout your recruitment process must be aware of this data's existence, how it's processed and give their consent for its use.

The GDPR clearly explains the obligations you must meet in order to be compliant with its privacy regulations. Article 4(11) defines consent as:

"Consent of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her."

**Disclaimer:** The information is only a general guide and a suggestion for users. It does not apply to any legal situation, in which you should consult with professional counsel. Manatal welcomes any advice and will always seek to make your experience better.
