This guide outlines the official standards and requirements for publishing jobs on Manatal. To ensure a safe, transparent, and high-quality environment for both candidates and employers, all job postings must strictly adhere to the guidelines detailed below.
Section 1: Job Legitimacy
All jobs posted must represent a genuine, current, and specific employment opportunity with a real intent to hire.
Not permitted:
- Jobs posted without a genuine intent to hire for the specific position listed
- General talent pool or "always hiring" posts without a clearly defined vacancy
- Jobs for roles that have already been filled or have expired
- Soliciting applications for more than one position in a single post
- Listing a role under a specific city without disclosing that it is remote, or misrepresenting a remote role as office-based
Section 2: Prohibited Job Types
The following job types are not permitted on free job boards, regardless of how they are described or titled.
Not permitted:
- Multi-level marketing (MLM) roles, pyramid schemes, or any structure where earning is contingent on recruiting others
- Commission-only roles where no base salary or guaranteed pay is provided, or the commission scheme is not explained
- Franchise or business opportunity postings that require the candidate to make a financial investment
- Unpaid roles of any kind, including unpaid internships, or roles compensating via non-cash means only (gift cards, goods, equity, housing, or services)
- Mystery shopper roles
- Training or education leads where the posting is primarily a gateway to selling a course, certification, or training program
- Survey, focus group, or opinion participant listings
- Casting calls or auditions for modeling, acting, or talent management services
- Recruitment solicitation posts designed primarily to poach candidates from competitors or for lead generation rather than genuine hiring
Section 3: Compensation & Fees
All postings must clearly and accurately state how the role is compensated. Job seekers must never be required to pay any fee in connection with a job posting.
Not permitted:
- Vague or inflated earnings claims (e.g., "earn up to $500/day") without a factual basis
- Presenting a commission-based role as salaried, or failing to disclose non-traditional pay structures
- Requiring job seekers to pay any fee to apply, view a listing, or begin work - including sign-up fees, training fees, or equipment purchase requirements
Section 4: Job Title & Description Quality
Titles and descriptions must accurately represent the role and give candidates sufficient information to assess their fit.
Not permitted:
- Clickbait or promotional job titles (e.g., "APPLY NOW - Earn Big $$$", "Unlimited Earning Potential")
- Vague or misleading titles that do not reflect the actual nature of the role
- Keyword stuffing - adding irrelevant or repetitive keywords to titles or descriptions to manipulate search rankings
- Excessive use of internal jargon, offensive slang, or significant grammatical errors
Section 5: Non-Discrimination & Equal Opportunity
All postings must comply with equal employment opportunity principles and applicable anti-discrimination law in the jurisdiction where the role is located.
Not permitted:
- Excluding or showing preference for candidates based on age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, citizenship, military or veteran status, or genetic information, if prohibited in the jurisdiction where the job is located.
Section 6: Content Standards
All posting content must be professional, truthful, and free from harmful, deceptive, or illegal material.
Not permitted:
- Hate speech, discriminatory language, defamatory statements, explicit, violent, or obscene content
- Phishing activity - soliciting sensitive personal or financial information (e.g., bank details, national ID numbers, passport data) from candidates at the application stage
- Impersonating a company, brand, or employer that the poster is not authorized to represent
- Including personal or sensitive information about any individual in the job description or application instructions
- Using a job posting to advertise or promote products or services rather than recruit for a role
- Postings containing malware, spyware, or any code that interferes with platform operation
Section 7: Legal Compliance
All postings must comply with applicable local, national, and international employment laws in the jurisdiction where the role is performed. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Anti-discrimination and equal employment opportunity law
- Pay transparency requirements (where legally mandated)
- Employment eligibility and right-to-work rules
- Data privacy and consumer protection obligations
