This guide covers connecting Manatal MCP Server to Claude.

Connecting to Claude

Important

Prerequisites:

  • An active Manatal Enterprise Plus Plan subscription.
  • An active Claude account.

Connect Manatal to Claude from either of these places:

i. From Manatal:

Admin needs to verify that Manatal MCP is enabled (It will be enabled by default).

  1. Head to the following page or click on "Settings" on the left menu.

  2. Click on “Manatal MCP”.

  3. Identify the “Claude” card and click on “Connect with Claude”.

  4. Once redirected to the Claude Connectors Directory, click on "Connect to Claude" button.

  5. You will be prompted to login with your Manatal Account (Google also supported).

  6. Start interacting with Manatal directly from Claude once connected.

ii. Alternatively, from Claude:

  1. In Claude Connectors Directory, search for Manatal and click on the + icon next to it.

  2. You will be prompted to login with your Manatal Account (Google also supported).

  3. Click on the"Connect with Claude" button to provide your consent for Claude to access Manatal.

  4. Start interacting with Manatal directly from Claude once connected.

Switching from the Custom MCP Plugin to the Official Claude Connector

Note
  • This applies to you if you previously connected Manatal to Claude by pasting an MCP Server URL.
  • If you installed Manatal from the Claude Connectors Directory or via the Settings page in Manatal, you're already on the official connector and don't need to do anything.

Connecting through the custom MCP plugin still works, but we highly recommend switching to the official Claude Connector for a better experience and access to the latest tools.

Why switch: the official Claude Connector gives you:

  • Stronger Security: Each user signs in with their own Manatal account and permissions. The custom MCP plugin method relies on a single account-wide credential with admin-level access, shared across every connected tool.
  • Simpler Setup: Install directly from the Claude Connectors Directory. No MCP Server URL to generate, copy, or circulate among your team.
  • Access to the Latest Tools: New capabilities are added only to the official connector.

Switching takes two steps: disconnect or remove your current connection, then install the official connector.

Step 1: Disconnect or remove your custom MCP connector

How you disconnect depends on whether other AI tools use the same MCP Server URL.

  1. If other AI tools also use your MCP Server URL:

    1. Open Claude and click on "Settings" or "Customize" in the left menu.

    2. Go to the Connectors page and select your custom Manatal connector.

    3. Click on "Disconnect".
      Note

      Disconnecting pauses access but keeps the connector in your list, so you can reconnect if needed.

    4. Click to confirm disconnecting.

    5. Or if you choose to remove it, click on the 3-dots icon and select the "Remove" option.

      Removing deletes the custom MCP connector entirely from your Connectors list.

  2. If Claude is the only tool using your MCP Server URL

    Important
    • This can only be done by an Admin.
    • Disconnecting affects everyone connected through this MCP Server URL, not just you, and their access ends immediately. Notify your users beforehand and guide them to official Claude Connector Directory connection so they can set it up on their own.
    • If other AI tools are connected to your account, do not disconnect your MCP Server URL. That URL is shared across every connected tool, and disconnecting it will disconnect them all. Use the Claude-side steps mentioned above instead.
    1. Head to the following page by clicking on "Administration" from your side menu and open the "Integrations" category.

    2. In the Integrations page, search for "Manatal MCP" and click on "Configuration".

Step 2: Install the official Claude Connector
