This can only be done by an Admin or an authorized user.

  • This is only available for companies running the Recruitment Agency version of Manatal and is not available for companies under the Company / Corporate accounts. Read more about different account types here.
  • The Revenue Tracking feature must be enabled to access the feature. Refer to this article for more information.

View Revenue

Revenue can be viewed and managed either from the Revenue menu or from the "Revenue" tab on an Client or Job page.

Each of these pages function the same way however they provide a different level of information:

  • Revenue menu: View and edit all revenues across the account.

  • Revenue tab under a Client: View and edit all revenues linked to that client.

  • Revenue tab under a Job: View and edit all revenues linked to that job.

Revenue records may include different fields depending on the selected Placement Type:

  • Permanent: Used for permanent placements, where revenue can be calculated from the salary offered and fee percentage.
  • Contract / Temporary: Used for contract or temporary placements, where revenue and gross margin are calculated from bill rate and pay rate.
  • Others: Used for revenue that does not follow a standard permanent or contract calculation.

Revenue Table

The Revenue table displays revenue records created in Manatal and also includes the Placement Type of each revenue record.

Placement Type values may include:

  • Permanent
  • Contract / Temporary
  • Others

This helps users identify how each revenue record was created and whether it follows a permanent placement, contract placement, or manual revenue workflow.

Add Revenue

  1. Head to the following page. Alternatively, click on "Revenue" from your side menu.

    This operation can also be performed under the "Revenue" tab of a Client or Job.

  2. Click on "Add Revenue".

  3. Select a "Placement type".
    The Placement type defines how the revenue will be entered or calculated.
    Available options are:

    • Permanent
    • Contract / Temporary
    • Others

    Once a Placement type is selected, the form will update to show the relevant fields for that type.

Add Revenue for a Permanent Placement

Note

Select "Permanent" when the revenue is based on a permanent placement fee.

After selecting "Permanent", enter the following information:

  • Salary offered: The salary offered to the candidate.
  • Fee %: The fee percentage applied to the salary.
  • Revenue amount: The calculated revenue amount.
Note

When both Salary offered and Fee % are entered, Manatal automatically calculates the Revenue amount. The calculated revenue amount can be edited manually if needed.

  • Calculation:
    Revenue amount = Salary offered × Fee %

  • Example
    If the salary offered is 100,000 and the fee is 20%, the revenue amount will be calculated as 20,000.

Add Revenue for a Contract / Temporary Placement

Note

Select "Contract / Temporary" when the revenue is based on a contract or temporary placement.

After selecting "Contract / Temporary", enter the following information:

  • Bill rate: The amount charged to the client.
  • Pay rate: The amount paid to the candidate or worker.
  • Gross margin %: The calculated gross margin percentage.
  • Revenue amount: The calculated revenue amount.
Note

When both Bill rate and Pay rate are entered, Manatal automatically calculates the revenue amount and gross margin percentage.

  • Calculation:
    Revenue amount = Bill rate - Pay rate
    Gross margin % = (Revenue amount / Bill rate) × 100

    • The Gross margin % field is read-only and cannot be edited manually.

    • The revenue amount is calculated automatically based on the difference between the bill rate and pay rate.

  • Example
    If the bill rate is 50,000 and the pay rate is 20,000:

    • Revenue amount = 30,000
    • Gross margin % = 60%

Add Revenue for Other Revenue Types

Note
  • Select "Others" when the revenue does not follow a standard permanent or contract calculation.

  • Use Others for revenue such as:

    • Non-standard revenue
    • Adjustments
    • Custom deals
    • Any revenue that should not use a permanent or contract calculation

After selecting "Others", manually enter the revenue amount and complete the remaining required fields.

Select the Currency

Select the currency for the revenue amount.

Note

The currency is applied to the revenue record and will be reflected in the revenue table and reports.

Link the Revenue to a Job, Match, or Client

  1. Open the "Related to" dropdown and link the revenue to a:
  • Job
  • Match
  • Client

  1. Type the name of the Job, Match, or Client and select the correct value from the dropdown menu.

Select the Placement Date

Select the date at which you want the revenue to be accounted for.

Note

This date will impact your reports.

Add Revenue Owners

  1. Enter the name of the revenue owner and select the user from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click on the "+" icon, next to the Split % field, to add another user to the revenue.

  3. Fill in the Split % next to each owner.
    Note

    You can add up to three users per revenue. If there are multiple owners, the total split percentage across all owners must equal 100%.

Add Details and Save the Revenue

  1. Enter any final details in the "Details" field.

  2. Once all required fields are completed, click "Save". The revenue will now be logged in Manatal.

Edit Revenue

  1. Head to the following page. Alternatively, click on "Revenue" from your side menu.

    This operation can also be performed under the "Revenue" tab of a Client or Job if the revenue is linked to that Client or Job.

  2. Click on the "3-dots" next to a logged revenue and then on "Edit" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Edit the revenue as desired.
    Depending on the Placement Type, the available fields may differ.

    For "Permanent" revenue, you may see:

    • Salary offered
    • Fee %
    • Revenue amount

    For "Contract / Temporary" revenue, you may see:

    • Bill rate
    • Pay rate
    • Gross margin %
    • Revenue amount

    For "Others", you may see:

    • Revenue amount

    If calculation fields are updated, Manatal recalculates the revenue values accordingly.

  4. Click "Save" once the changes are completed.

Delete Revenue

  1. Head to the following page. Alternatively, click on "Revenue" from your side menu.

    This operation can also be performed under the "Revenue" tab of a Client or Job if the revenue is linked to that Client or Job.

  2. Click on the "3-dots" and then on "Delete" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click on "Delete". That's it you have deleted the revenue.
